One part of living in the city or near one is that the light pollution detracts from what is a lovely night sky.

However, photographer Thierry Cohen has developed a way to portray major metropolises with their iconic buildings and a clear night sky both.

Cohen told the New York Times that he aims to remind people of the amazing night sky that is always there, even if we can’t see it. The combination of mass population growth and light pollution has bred a typical city dweller who  ”forgets and no longer understands nature.”

“To show him stars is to help him dream again,” he said.

These are amazing, take a look and start dreaming!
